We named the cottage after our little grey Whippet who is called Luna Sixpence. She in turn was named after the Moon and sixpence which we stayed at in Whitby during our honeymoon. North Yorkshire has a very dear place in our hearts, most especially, Pickering, Whitby and Sandsend and we have been holidaying here for many years. We love the Market Towns, the people, the countryside and of the course the wonderful moors and coast. We hope that our guests will find the cottage a comfortable base from which to have similar experiences and to fall in love with this lovely county.
(Luna was born in North Yorkshire and we say she barks with a Yorkshire accent.)
